Sino-European Humanities and Arts Series-Piano Performance and Sharing Session by Vienna Pianist Natasa Veljkovic​​

On the morning of May 15, 2024, at 10:45 AM, the Chengdu-ASEAN Arts Center Concert Hall welcomed a piano performance and sharing session by Professor Natasa Veljkovic, a distinguished piano faculty member and doctoral supervisor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from both Chinese and international students and faculty members of the College of Music and Dance.

Professor Natasa, with her exceptional performance skills and profound musical expertise, presented a high-caliber mini-concert for the audience. The theme of the sharing session was "Piano Performance Sharing," for which Professor Natasa meticulously prepared five world-renowned classical pieces, including works by Brahms, Mozart, Chopin, and Liszt. As her fingers danced across the keys, she immersed the faculty and students in a captivating musical atmosphere, allowing them to deeply appreciate the charm of piano art.

The concert began with Professor Natasa performing Brahms' Hungarian Dances as a piano duet. Her delicate touch and heartfelt interpretation infused every note with emotion and power. The subsequent pieces by Mozart, Liszt, and Chopin further elevated the atmosphere, transporting the audience into a mesmerizing musical world and earning enthusiastic applause.


Following the performance, Professor Natasha naturally transitioned into an engaging demonstration and explanation of piano techniques. She not only shared her decades of performance experience but also illustrated the creative backgrounds and technical nuances behind the pieces. Her masterful demonstrations and insightful yet accessible explanations left a lasting impression on the students in attendance.
